Arkansas Community Institute/Arkansas Community Organizations will host a workshop entitled “Pine Bluff Families Can’t Get Ahead When Income Is Low and Debts Are High.”


The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Eight Avenue Baptist Church, 1200 W. Eighth Ave.


Speakers will be Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington and state Rep. Vivian Flowers, according to a news release.


Participants can receive a free credit report, learn about ways to settle debt and find out how to get involved in campaigns for jobs and consumer protections, according to a news release.
