The Strachota Senior Center, 801 E. Eighth Ave., a program of the Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas, offers lunch at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday. Coffee is served every morning and popcorn is available. Hot meals cost $2 for seniors 60 years old and older. Meals are $5 for those under 60.

Smothered chicken patty, whipped potatoes, herbed green beans, white bread, applesauce, and milk.


Tuesday, Oct. 16


Swedish meatballs, egg noodles, broccoli, dinner roll, fresh banana and milk.


Wednesday, Oct. 17


Turkey ham, candied spiced yams, turnip green, cornbread, Arkansas mud pudding and milk.


Thursday, Oct. 18


Baked chicken, parslied rice, glazed carrots, dinner rolls, fresh fruit and milk.


Friday, Oct. 19


Hamburger patty, lettuce, tomato, and onion, tater gem, hamburger bun, apple raisin compote, mustard-ketchup and milk.
