Students at Taylor Elementary School at White Hall conduct a food drive for the White Hall Food Pantry. Participants included front row, BriNiyah Murray; second row, Sucheatra Khiev, Emily Scarbrough, Nour Nimer, Hannah Harrison, Halie Cook; and third row, Delaney Huffman, Caleb Wall, Kadence Garrick, Sophie Stone, Jacey Insley and Tenise Winston. Led by the school’s Student Lighthouse Team, the event allowed each class to competed to see which could collect the most items, according to a news release. The school donated 1,419 items to the pantry. This is the time of year the pantry experiences a decline in donations, according to a pantry spokesman. Special to The Commercial
