Two upcoming events will benefit scholarships for students at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, according to a news release.
Dollars for Scholars Party
The community is invited to the Dollars for Scholars Party Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Pine Bluff Country Club, 1100 W. 46th Ave.
Proceeds will benefit the Samuel L. Kountz Legacy Fund at UAPB. The hosts will be UAPB Alumni Sharri Jones and Dr. Kenneth Lambert. The special guest will be Donna Terrell, a Fox 16 News anchor.
Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Entertainment will be provided by Dueling DJs, DJ Mug of Pine Bluff and DJ Don Meecca of Dallas, Texas.
General admission is $50 for the Dollars for Scholars Party. VIP tickets are $100 (reserved seating). Tickets are available at Eventbrite.
Dollars for Scholars Mega Raffle
Another project to benefit the Samuel L. Kountz Legacy Fund at UAPB will be the Dollars for Scholars Mega Raffle.
“The mega raffle is awarding a total of 16 prizes that include a his or hers Rolex watch, cash prizes ranging from $50 to $5,000 or the grand prize of a 2019 Cadillac CT6,” according to the release.
The raffle tickets are $100 each. Only 2,500 tickets will be sold. There is no limit on the number of tickets a person can buy. People must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the raffle. Raffle tickets are not tax deductible, according to the release.
This mega raffle is sponsored by Sharri Jones of Sissy’s Log Cabin, Dr. Kenneth Lambert of Affinity Healthcare for Women and Smart Chevrolet of White Hall, according to the release.
