Genealogy author Hope Vaughns Johnson will sign copies and discuss her recently published book, “Genealogy Jumbles and Other Family Fun!” from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. The event will be held at Indigo Blue Coffeehouse, 212 W. Barraque St.

“A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Johnson has a passion for researching her family tree and has unearthed some intriguing historical facts about her own family,” according to a news release.

The event is free and the public is invited to hear Johnson share her knowledge and passion for genealogy research.

“Genealogy research is an enjoyable and fascinating journey,” she said. “Researching my family history has been such a worthwhile experience because I’ve come to learn so much about myself, my ancestral roots and heritage during the process.”

Johnson has worked in human services, counseling and social work education. She was employed with the Department of Human Services, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Philander Smith College and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, according to the release.

Her book will be available for purchase at the signing and can be ordered at genealogyjumbles@outlook.com. Details: Indigo Blue Coffeehouse, manager@indigobluepba.com or 870-210-4120.
