A discussion of Christmas activities will be the centerpiece of the Pine Bluff Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the fellowship room at the Salvation Army Pine Bluff Corps headquarters, 501 E. 12th Ave.
Plans for the annual Christmas Luncheon and Festival of Tables and silent auction will be finalized for the event that will be held Friday, Dec. 7, at the Great Hall of the First United Methodist Church.
Linda Minyard, Christmas chairwoman for the Pine Bluff Corps, will discuss the activities for which volunteers are needed. These include bell ringers for Friday, Nov. 16, when the auxiliary will participate in this activity at Super 1 Foods at 28th Avenue and Hazel Street.
Volunteers are also needed Dec. 10-18 to assist in the Christmas warehouse when Angel Tree gifts are organized for distribution on Dec. 19.
Visitors and prospective members are always welcome at auxiliary meetings, according to a spokesman for the group.
Dues are $10 annually and can be paid at the meeting. Anyone interested in supporting the work of the Salvation Army is invited to attend, the spokesman said. Monthly meetings are held throughout the year, except for the summer months, on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Corps headquarters.
