Pine Bluff native Warren L. Booker Jr., along with his cast members, will perform at the Children’s Theater at the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library at 6 p.m. nightly from Saturday, Dec. 8 to Sunday, Dec. 9. The production is entitled “Karaoke of THE BELLS,” which is a musical/comedy written by Booker.


On Dec. 9, the play will be dedicated to April Smith-Thomas, “a dear friend of Booker who is currently battling an illness and has been unemployed since March of 2017,” a news release said. Booker was quoted as saying, “This is my way of helping a friend by using my gift and bringing the community together to assist in this endeavor. It is another form of Tithe.”


The news release said the stage play is produced by Why Warren Entertainment Inc., which began as an abstract idea of its founder Warren L. Booker, Jr. The minority-owned entertainment company produces “real life” productions that most audiences can relate to. Known by the motto “Quality Entertainment with a Meaning, Purpose and Message,” Why Warren Entertainment intend for this production to assist audience members get in the Christmas Spirit and most importantly laugh, the news release said.
