The Bank of Star City on Camden Road was robbed Monday afternoon and police are asking for help in identifying and arresting the man involved.

The Bank of Star City on Camden Road was robbed Monday afternoon and police are asking for help in identifying and arresting the man involved.


Lt. David Price said a white male wearing a dark-colored ski cap, aviator sunglasses, a black leather jacket and dark denim pants entered the bank at 3100 S. Camden Road at approximately 12:13 p.m.


The man, who had a mustache and thin beard, pulled up his shirt to reveal a silver-colored handgun to the teller and demanded money.


Price said the teller complied and the man took an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the bank on foot. He was last seen running northeast toward West 28th Avenue and across the Fred’s parking lot that is across the street from the bank.
