Pine Bluff police are asking for help in locating two men linked to separate robberies in the past two weeks.

According to a news release, Cornelius Jones, 25, is being sought as a suspect in the robbery of the Circle Store at 2901 W. 28th Ave. on Aug. 7 and Marcus Williams, 22, was identified as a suspect in the robbery of McDonald’s at 2819 S. Olive St., Sunday.

Both men should be considered armed and dangerous, police said in the news release.

Regarding Jones, a police report said officers were sent to the Circle N at about 1:20 a.m. Store employees said three black males entered the store wearing bandannas on their faces and one of them put a gun to the head of an employee. A second man jumped the counter and took money from the register and an unknown number of cigarettes. The third suspect reportedly stood in the door of the business holding a gun.

According to the report, one of the suspects also took two cell phones from an employee while a second struck another employee in the head several times before all three men left on foot going west on West 28th Avenue. Attempts to locate the suspects in the immediate area were unsuccessful.

Williams was identified as one of three men who entered McDonald’s at approximately 4 a.m. Sunday, according to a police report.

An employee of the business told police he saw several men outside the business and walked out to see what was going on when one of the men put a gun to his neck, called his name and said "you know me" before forcing the employee back into the business.

According to the report, one of the suspects jumped over a counter and tried to get money out of a cash register, then a second suspect jumped over the counter and followed an employee to the back of the store where the registers for the drive-thru were located.

The report said another employee, who was passing an order at the drive-thru window, saw a black male with a gun jump over the counter and demand he open the cash register. That employee told police he saw the other manager and told him to open the cash register before he pushed another employee into the freezer, locked the door and called 911.

The three suspects fled out the front door running west on 29th Avenue.

Anyone with information about Jones or Williams, or any one else involved in either robbery should contact the Detective Division at 730-2090 or the dispatch center at 541-5300. All calls will be kept confidential.
