Pine Bluff police are continuing their investigation into a shooting incident Monday night that resulted in injuries to one man.

Anthony Alexander, 25, of Pine Bluff was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center by ambulance after the incident, which occurred in front of an apartment at 2202 W. 10th Ave., according to a report from Officer Billy Robertson. The report said Alexander appeared to have been shot in the right arm and right buttock area.

Sgt. David DeFoor said in a press release Monday night that Alexander’s wounds "do not appear to be life threatening."

Robertson said in the report he asked Alexander who shot him and Alexander said "he didn’t know and that the person who shot him ran ‘that way.’"

Alexander pointed in a northeasterly direction, Robertson said in the report, adding that Alexander said he was shot in front of Apartment Two. Police located numerous shell casings in front of that apartment in the parking lot. Two other shell casings were found on the sidewalk closest to West 10th Avenue.

No arrests have been made and DeFoor said anyone with information should contact the Detective Division at 730-2090 or the dispatch center at 541-5300. All calls will be kept confidential.
