One victim from the triple shooting Saturday night has died.

Keson Coney, 40, was pronounced dead at 10:45 p.m. during surgery. Coroner Chad Kelley said the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds. The body will be transported today to the State Crime Lab in Little Rock for autopsy.

Pine Bluff police responded to the scene of a triple shooting at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Beech Street.

A female and two males were shot in a car in front of a house at 1802 S. Beech St. and Pine Bluff police are searching for a suspect who apparently left the scene after the shooting, according to police spokesman David Defoor.

The victims were taken by ambulance to Jefferson Regional Medical Center. The identities of the two other persons shot, one male and one female, have not been released.

As of 8 p.m., police were still searching for a black male who ran from the scene. Police don’t know the shooter’s motive, according to Defoor, and didn’t recover any weapons at the scene.

At 1 a.m., the police department issued a press release stating that the other male victim was in critical condition and the female was stable.

More details will be reported as they become available.
