LITTLE ROCK - Isaac “Ike” Caroll Wood, 75, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Thursday evening, December 14, 2017.

He was born September 16, 1942, to the late Isaac H. and Dolly Manord in Jonesboro, Ark. In 1960, Isaac graduated from Jonesboro High School, and he later earned his B.S. at Arkansas State University. He was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity. In college, he met Vonna Bell, and they married on June 16, 1966. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 16, 2016.

After college, Ike and Vonna moved to Pine Bluff, Ark., and he began his lifelong career at Simmons Bank, where he was eventually promoted to Senior Vice President of the Commercial Banking Group. Ike retired from Simmons in 2007. Ike was an avid hunter and fisherman, but it was the fellowship with his hunting-and-fishing friends that he treasured most. He also devoted his time to volunteering at the Optimist Club and United Way of Southeast Arkansas and serving on the board of directors for the Du Bocage Foundation and Jefferson County Clean & Beautiful. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff.

In 2011, Ike was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. In 2012, Vonna and Ike relocated to Little Rock to be closer to Paul, their son, and his family. Ike was most proud of his granddaughters, Madeline and Anna, who were the light of his life. He was their “Poppy.” After his move to Little Rock, Ike's church membership was transferred to St. James United Methodist in Little Rock.

Ike was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac H. and Dolly Wood, and his wife, Vonna. He is survived by his son, Paul Harrison Wood, his wife Wendy, and their daughters, Madeline and Anna, of Little Rock; niece Holly Trotta and her husband David of North Little Rock; nephew Allan Hetzel of Highland Ranch, Colo.; nephew Stephen Hetzel, his wife Kristy, and their daughter Jordan of Leander, Texas; and nephew Arthur Bradley Beshears of Midland, Texas.

Paul and Wendy wish to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Presbyterian Village and Arkansas Hospice who cared for Ike.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 22, 2017, at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home, 807 Cherry Street, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71601, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Mike Morey officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery.

Puddie Harris

Puddie Harris, 83, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday December 19, 2017 at home.

Born Mary Leah Hildreth November 3, 1934, she was the daughter of William Wilson HIldreth. Sr. and Mattie Leah Chidester Hildreth.

Mrs. Harris was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School.

She married Donald Harris September 19, 1954 in Pine Bluff.

In the late 1960s and early 70s, she was active with the Jefferson County Republican Women, serving on the campaign for Winthrop Rockefeller and later appointed by Governor Rockefeller to work on the 1970 Census for Southeast Arkansas.

Puddie was a loving mother to, not only her four boys, but to their friends and other family. She was known for hosting gatherings for family and friends at her home.

In her youth, she enjoyed swimming and boating and was also a good cheerleader. As an adult, Puddie enjoyed bunco, bridge and golf.

She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir for many years.

Puddie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Wilson “Red” Hildreth, II; and sister, Martha Hildreth “Mott” Wasson.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Harris, Sr. of Pine Bluff; four sons, Don Harris, Jr. of Pine Bluff; Tom Harris (Susan) of White Hall, Will Harris (Nancy) of Woodlawn and Brannon Harris of Pine Bluff; brother, Major General James R. “Cotton” Hildreth (Ret.) of Spring Hope, N.C.; sister, Lois Landreth Johnson of Pine Bluff; 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Jeff Price and Reverend John Landis officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. until service time at First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Barbara Jenkins, 57, of Pine Bluff, Ark. passed Sunday, December 17, 2017. She was born in Dumas, Ark. to Mr. Theodis Wright of Chicago, Ill. and Lonora Ward Spencer of Pine Bluff, Ark.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her Husband, Jessie Jenkins of Pine Bluff, Ark.; two daughters: Theresa Jenkins of Little Rock, Ark. and Tawanda Jenkins-White of Baton Rouge, La.; three brothers: Leroy Spencer and Maurice Spencer both of Little Rock, Ark., Rodney Spencer of Pine Bluff, Ark.; four sisters: Jessie Spencer, Catherine Spencer, Clestine Spencer and Sherry Spencer all of Pine Bluff, Ark.; and four grandchildren.

Raymond Faucette, Jr.

TULSA, OKLA. - Dr. Raymond Frank Faucette, Jr., a longtime Yale resident, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 in Tulsa surrounded by his family at the age of 71.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, Okla.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Yale Assembly of God Church, Yale, Okla. Rev. Randell Newby will officiate. Interment will follow at Lawson Cemetery, Yale, Okla.

Raymond was born on December 24, 1945 in Pine Bluff, Ark. to Raymond Frank and Lois Johnson. He grew up in Pine Bluff, Ark. Raymond graduated from Townsend Park High School in Pine Bluff, Ark. After graduating, Raymond continued his education at the University of Arkansas in Pine Bluff, graduating with a Bachelors of Science, then receiving his Master's Degree at University of Central Arkansas, and later his Doctorate from Oklahoma State University. Raymond was a professor at Langston University in Enviromental Science in the Ag Dept. Raymond married the love of his life Eva Jean Edwards on October 5, 1944 in Stillwater, Okla. He was a 32 degree Mason and member of the Guthrie Masonic Lodge and the Cushing Masonic Lodge, a member of the VFW and also a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Upsilon Iota Chapter. Raymond enjoyed teaching and being around young people, encouraging them to be the best they could be, even helping some with tuition and books. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and nature. Raymond loved to make people laugh.

Raymond was a devoted husband. He loved spending time with his wife and their children.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife Eva Jean Faucette of the home, mother Dr. Lois Faucette of Pine Bluff, Ark., sons Raymond Frank Faucette III and wife Amber of Colorado Springs Colo., Chris Faucette of Belleve, Wash., Samuel Hagar and wife Erica of Guthrie, Okla., daughters Erin Shaw of Pine Bluff, Ark., Cappy Harris and husband Steve of Cassville, Mo., Rebecka Goad and husband Carl Lee of Denton, Texas, brothers Michael Faucette of Seattle, Wash., Steve Faucette of Germany, sisters Karen Buster and husband Lawrence of Washington, DC, Winnettia Dennis of Anchorage AK, Madeline Floyd and husband Andrew of Anchorage AK, sister-in-law Jackie Faucette, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Raymond is preceded in death by his father; daughter, Mariam Rice,; sons: Robert Hagar and Scott Hagar; and brother, Ricky Faucette.
