Homer E. Mitchell Jr., 74 of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed from this life to be with our Lord on April 9, 2018. He was born on December 9, 1943, in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Homer E. Sr. and Roberta Mitchell. Homer enjoyed spending family time on the lake in the family boat “Our Gang II”, riding his Harley Davidson and driving his Chevy SSR. He served in the United States Army and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran as a Staff Sergeant with the first air cavalry division and a recipient of a Purple Heart.
Homer is also preceded in death by his sister, Julie Sconyers. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Mitchell; three children, Carrie Varnell (Skip), Jenny Keller (Aaron), Denise Cagle; nine grandchildren, Zac, Brittney, Michele, Megan, Matthew, Reed, Hunter, Sadie, Seth; four great-grandchildren, Adysenn, Aubree, Olivia, Ellie; two sisters, Judy Mitchell, Barbara Wright (Ken); and a host of other family and friends.

Johnny Gatewood, 62, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, in White Hall. Services by Perry Funeral Home.
Garry Wayne Howard, 68, of Rison, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord peacefully, Tuesday, April 10th, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Beckey “Hebert” Howard whom he married September 8, 1978, a son Johnny Wayne Howard of Rison, two grandsons, Blake and Cody Howard of Monticello. A sister Brenda and brother-in-law Tom Mehlin of Benton, a brother Danny and sister-in-law Jane Howard of Bella Vista, a sister-in-law Joann and brother-in-law Tim West of Watson Chapel and a brother-in-law Gary Hebert of Rison, several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Garry is the son of the late William (Bill) Edwin Howard and Katie Evalene Howard of Pine Bluff. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Edwin Howard.
He was a member of Summit Baptist Church and a 1967 graduate of Pine Bluff High School.
Garry loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter and a member of the Little Camp Hunting Club.
He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Vietnam War from 1968 until 1970.
His was employed as a Senior Field Tech for Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton and Wyatt, Inc., Consulting Engineers of Little Rock. He was previously employed as an Asphalt Plant Operator for Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel.
Visitation service will be Thursday, April 12th, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, April 13th at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held in the chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Highway 63 South, Pine Bluff.
Services will be conducted by Brother Todd Anderson and Brother Lewis Hinkle.

Gerald Dean Sullivan, 88, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Born July 22, 1929, at West Monroe, Louisiana, he was a son of the late Roy Sullivan and Walter Mae Bryant Sullivan. He attended school in West Monroe.
Mr. Sullivan was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean conflict.
A resident of Pine Bluff since 1963, Mr. Sullivan and his wife operated Sullivan’s Grocery for 18 years. He attended Victory Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death are his wife of 52 years, O’Dell “Dell” Hayes Sullivan on Jan. 14, 2018; a son, Phillip Sullivan; a daughter, Gwendolyn Sims; and a brother Earl “Hoppy” Sullivan.
Survivors include his children, Bobby Gerald Sullivan (Jane) of Jackson, Mississippi, Paul Gregory Brown (Marsha) and Lisa Rhena Mason (Junior), all of Pine Bluff; eight grandchildren, Victoria Severns, Rebecca Lisenbey, Madisson Brown, Brandi Hall, Morgan Sullivan, Roy Sullivan, James Early Delaney and Theresa Pippens; and five great-grandchildren, Gavin and Bradley Severns and Caiden, Brayson and Logan Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Brother Bryan Torress officiating. Burial will follow in Fitzhugh Cemetery with Military Funeral Honors.
