Mitchellville - Mrs. Hattie Bell Kelley-Baker, 88 of Mitchellville, AR passed Wednesday, June 6, 2018.


Born July 17, 1929, in Dumas, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Kelley and Josiephine Jones. She was a member of Almeta M.B.C. in Reedville, Arkansas serving on the Mother’s Board, past Mission President, past Choir member and a homemaker.


Survivors include six sons, Herman West of Los Angeles, CA, Carlester Kelley of Mitchellville, Cleveland Baker of Los Angeles, Kevin Baker of Conway, Teryn Baker of Omaha, NE, Gavin Baker of Gould, five daughters, Barbara Kuykendall, Carolyn Brooks both of Benton, AR, Annie Bell Lowe of Rosston, AR, Curtistine Sanders of Bryant, Cynthia Bullard of Pine Bluff, three brothers, Ernest Kelley of Hamilton, GA,


Charles Kelley of Monroe, WI, Frank Kelley of Benton, three sisters, Josephine Gwynn of Chicago, IL, Ida Mae Rivers of Clinton, IA, Essie Williams of Mitchellville, 41 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.


Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Union Baptist M.B.C. in Dumas with Rev. G.L. Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Almeta Cemetery in Reedville by Brown Funeral Home of Dumas.


Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 4:00-6:00 p.m.


Her body will lie in state at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.

Marvin Rauls


Marvin Rauls, 76, of Woodlawn Community, Rison, Arkansas, passed away on June 13, 2018. He was born December 29, 1941 in Herbine, Arkansas to the late Barney Rauls and Carrie Hobgood Rauls. He retired from the railroad after 20 years of service. Marvin enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling the grandkids. He also loved hunting at the Bradley Hunting Club., fishing, and gardening. He was a member and deacon of the Center Missionary Baptist Church where he was especially known for his cooking for fellowships and helping with building projects.


He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Cecil Rauls, J.E. Rauls, Earnest Rauls, Roy Rauls, Johnny Rauls and Larry Rauls; and one sister, Virgie Tucker. Marvin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hilda Rhodes Rauls of the home; two sons, Steven “Steve” Mark Rauls (Donna) of Watson Chapel, Brad Alan Rauls (Tammy) of Woodlawn; five granddaughters, Stefanie Johnson (Cody), Heather, LeaAnne, Rachael and Amber; thirteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy Hobson of England, Mary Helen Bradley of Warren, Linda Weast of Star City and Juanice Butler of Cleburne, Texas; and brother, W.C Rauls of Warren.


Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Center Missionary Baptist Church in Rowell, Arkansas. Funeral service officiated by Bro. Doney Blackerby, Bro. Dennis Blackerby and Bro. Ricky Rauls will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 17, 2018, at the church. Burial will follow the service at Rowell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Ashcraft, Steve Ashcraft, Greg Jacks, Glen Rambin, Bill Young and Donald Gene Clark.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Prayer Garden COGIC by Elder Jerry Williams. Interment will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR.
