Nita Belle Bennett McDaniel, 89 of Pine Bluff, died Monday, August 6, 2018.


Born December 16, 1928, at Griffith Springs, she was the daughter of the Thomas and Ida Belle Wingard Bennett.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph McDaniel; daughter, Joyce Ashcraft; granddaughter, Tina Ashcraft; siblings, George, Gerald, Addie and Lorene.


Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her sisters, Colleen Southern and Florence Middlebrooks; brother, Jacob Bennett; grandson, Steven Ashcraft; great-grandson, Brandon Dietrich, and many other loving family and friends.


A Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday, three o’clock in the afternoon at Fuller Hale South Funeral Chapel.

Coach Vic Mosby, 61 of Pine Bluff, AR passed Friday, August 3, 2018. He was born November 15, 1956, in Redland, AR (Chicot County). Vic graduated from Eudora High School in 1957 where he was an excellent student and excelled in athletics. He received a full athletic scholarship in football from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He graduated from the University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology.


After graduating from college, he enjoyed working in his major field, Industrial Technology as a Boiler Maker and Welder. In 1984 he began his career as a coach and teacher in Eudora Public School System. While teaching in 1985, he continued his college studies in Biology and Physical Education. He completed his certification in these areas in 1990. In 1998, he received his Master of Education from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. During his life journey Vic had the pleasure to be teacher, coach, administrator, athletic, director, husband and father. He made a difference in children’s lives in the following school district: Eudora School District, Dollarway School District, West Helena-Helena School District and Pine Bluff School District.


Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.


Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 9, 2018, at St. John A.M.E Church by Rev. Marvin Mosby. Interment will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR.


His body will lie in-state Thursday, 10:15 a.m., until service.

Greta Lisenbey


Greta Lisenbey, 72, of White Hall, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018. She was born July 11, 1946 in Pine Bluff to the late Arnold and Opal Johnson Crosby.


Greta was reared and educated in Pine Bluff and was a lifelong resident. She was a 1964 graduate of Dollarway High School. She had worked for First Arkansas Insurance, then she became the secretary at Hardin Baptist Church where she was a member and worked there for 30 years. She also taught Sunday School and worked in the nursery.


Greta was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Claudette Lisenbey; and 2 brothers, Herbert Crosby and Robert Ed Crosby.


Survivors include her 2 daughters, Tonya Lisenbey of White Hall, Jareta (Stephen) Moore of Conway; 1 sister, Wilma Taylor of Pine Bluff; 1 brother, Dene Crosby of Sheridan; and 1 grandson, Spencer Moore of Conway.


Funeral Services will be 10:00AM Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Bro. Johnny Taylor, Nancy Hannon and Dr. Dale Wicker officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM Monday at the funeral home.


The family will be at the house of Jareta Moore, 22 Richland Hills Drive, Conway, AR.
