Cathryne Studdard, 86 of Pine Bluff, Ark., died Monday, February 17, 2014, at JRMC. She was born November 6, 1927, at Glendale, Ark. to Dankie Hankins and Eva Mae Reed Hankins.

Cathryne Studdard, 86 of Pine Bluff, Ark., died Monday, February 17, 2014, at JRMC. She was born November 6, 1927, at Glendale, Ark. to Dankie Hankins and Eva Mae Reed Hankins.


Ms. Studdard was reared and educated in Cleveland County and graduated from Glendale High School. After graduation she attended business school in Pine Bluff.


Ms. Studdard retired from Georgia Pacific. After retirement she kept the Nursery at Greenlee Baptist Church and many children in their homes, plus taking care of her own grandchildren and she was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Church and ORAK Shrine Temple of Hammond, Ind.


She was preceded in death by her husband William (Dub) whom she married April 26, 1946, her parents, Dankie and Eva Mae Hankins, six brothers, Leonard, D.H., Billy, Earnest, Carroll, Coys Hankins and a sister, Ellen Ramsey.


Survivors include her four children and spouses. Joy Watterson, Darrell Studdard (Barbara), Debra Graves of Pine Bluff, Rick Studdard (Tammy) of White Hall. Her brother, Bobby Joe Hankins of Tulsa, Okla.; sisters, Dorothy Dorris of White Hall, Martha Puckett of Sheridan, Nell Roberts of Pine Bluff; ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchilderen and two great-great-granchildren and many nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, at Ralph Robinson and Son


Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church, with Dr. Roger Stewart and Reverend James Watson officiating.


Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery at Trucksville, Ark.
