WHITE HALL - Juanita Harper Calhoun, age 91, of White Hall,

was reunited with her Heavenly Father and family on Monday, June 16, 2014.

She was born November 25, 1922 at Kedron (Cleveland County), a daughter of the late Hill Harper and Ada Hobson Harper, and was a graduate of Rison High School.

Mrs. Calhoun was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, and had worked for Ben Pearson and retired as the Wonder Bread Thrift Store manager in 1980.

She enjoyed her flowers, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the lights of her life. Until her illness, she loved attending her church and cooking for family and friends. There was a light about her that drew people toward her and she was beloved by all.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Imogene Harper Courtney, Hughey Harper, Harland Harper, Havis Harper, and Herbert Harper; and a son-in-law, Bert Rhoads.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Joseph Calhoun;

two daughters, Judy Lewis McConnell (Bruce) and Carolyn Lewis Finn (Mickey), all of White Hall; a son, Joseph Calhoun (Paula) of Hot Springs; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Harper of White Hall; eight grandchildren, Tony Park (Faith) of Bentonville, Todd Park (Christie), Meredith Johnston, and Lindsey McAlister (Ricky), all of White Hall, Misty Jones (Tracy) of Smithville, Ark., Brandy Arender of Jonesboro, and Cody Calhoun and Trey Calhoun, both of Hot Springs; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Tony Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery by

Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family extends their appreciation to the staff of 400 Hall at White Hall Health and Rehabilitation for their loving care of Mrs. Calhoun.
