The platform of owning a business is God given for His glory and to reach people where they are in life no matter what season of life. The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it (Ps. 24:1).
The development of people in the workplace is always vital for the growth and sustainability of a community. Small businesses contribute to local economies by bringing growth and innovation to the community. They also help stimulate economic growth by providing employment opportunities.
There are a 168 hours in a week. Most people spent anything from 40 to 50 hours a week in a workplace environment so about 23-29 percent. Is your workplace godly? Before you start pointing fingers look at yourself. Good life skills are vital to have a great workplace environment and professionalism. If you want to be a good professional, you have to possess and use many competencies and abilities in your workplace and daily business life which will give God the glory.
How well do you manage stress in life? Dealing with stress is a crucial ability because stress at work can lead to problems for the individual and the overall working environment. There are steps you can take to protect yourself from the damaging effects of stress and improve your job satisfaction.
We should be casting all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Good management and leadership requires great communication skills. The Bible has the greatness business plan ever written.
The word leads us to the development of those life and professional skills to be successful in life for His Glory. How often do you receive bad customer service? Exercising the fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control — will create a better overall customer service experience.
A small business is defined as a business with 500 employees or less. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), small businesses represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms.
The Bible’s teaching about Christian leadership core values is relevant and essential. Relational leaders do not characteristically focus on a customer’s needs further than what the company must provide for its service or product. Servant leaders, however, consider factors outside the basic product or service and purpose to make a customer’s life healthier.
Jesus is a servant leadership and still is willing to invest time in people others will easily dismiss. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world (John 9:4).
How to treat people better is the teaching of Jesus Christ. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles which is the outstanding customer service going above and beyond. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you identifying ways to assist.
In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike (Matt. 5:40-45). Stop unfair, deceptive and fraudulent business practices and develop rules to maintain healthy workplace, fair marketplace, job performance and career advancement.
