Lauren Clai Morehead, a 2012 graduate of Ridgway Christian School, will be the featured performer on the Henry M. Moore Music Studio annual recital at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Isaac S. Hathaway-John M. Howard Fine Arts Auditorium on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Lauren Clai Morehead, a 2012 graduate of Ridgway Christian School, will be the featured performer on the Henry M. Moore Music Studio annual recital at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Isaac S. Hathaway-John M. Howard Fine Arts Auditorium on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Laurenís program will included works by Satie, Chopin and Beethoven.

Lauren was valedictorian of her senior class, senior class president and editor of the Ridgway Christian School yearbook. Her extracurricular activities included school photographer, soccer team and National Honor Society. She was among 22 statewide to be named recipient of the 2012 National Merit Scholarship and one of more than 3,000 candidates in the 2012 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.

She plans to attend Southern Arkansas University in the fall and major in biochemistry with a double minor in Spanish and psychology. Lauren is the daughter of David and Kaleybra Morehead and the granddaughter of Robert and Qumare Morehead of Pine Bluff and Thornton and Frankye Mitchell of Texarkana.
