The Pine Bluff Art League will host its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday in the A/B Room at the Donald Reynolds Community Services Building, 211 W. Third Ave.

Bob Snider, a Little Rock artist and the consultant for Art By Faith, a ministry to churches sponsoring biblically themed, juried arts festivals, will be the guest speaker. Snider’s program will show how he has gone to painting in oils, and the differences between watercolor and oil.

Snider is a past president and signature member of the Mid Southern Watercolorists. He has painted in watercolor for most of his painting career, known primarily for portraits and race-horse paintings and is represented by Gallery Century in Hot Springs.

Snider’s work may be viewed by visiting www.bobsniderwatercolors.com, according to Shirley Dawson, League president. Snider is also an investment banker and a member of the staff of U.S. Sen. John L. McClellan.

Members are asked to bring an original drawing of a daffodil and also a painting for the Artist of the Month competition.

Dawson will discuss the upcoming annual member exhibit and provide criteria for entering.
