The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St., is inviting the beer enthusiast and the casual beer drinker alike to an evening of beer tasting from 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 26.

The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St., is inviting the beer enthusiast and the casual beer drinker alike to an evening of beer tasting from 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 26.

Sponsored by M.K. Distributors, the evening will feature old favorites from the Budweiser and Michelob families. Participants are urged to come prepared to broaden their horizons with some imports and specialties. There will be Belgian whites, Texan ambers, and even a blueberry lager to delight the senses.

Tickets for the evening are $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers.

The center is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, and is closed on Sunday. Support for ASC is provided in part by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Hands-on science exhibits are offered through the centerís partnership with Arkansas Discovery Network, a consortium of seven museums in Arkansas funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
