Camden Road Extension Homemakers Club met recently at Whiteville Baptist Church for its monthly meeting.

The meeting was called to order by Nancy Sumner, president. Other members present were Becky Boudra, Judy Cox, Patsy Wallace, Wanda Strickland, Wanda Felts, Esta Kealer, treasurer, and Elizabeth Ferguson.

The thought was, “Once over the lips, forever on the hips.” The Homemaker’s Creed was read by Sumner. The handy hint was “Cold ingredients and limited handling are the key to a wonderful pie crust.”

The inspiration was read by Wallace. The November 2011 minutes were read by Ferguson.

The program topic was “Oh My, I like Pie”, presented by Felts. Old and new business was discussed.

Cox presented the club with a Festival of Stars Certificate of Appreciation for the donation of teaching dolls. Letters of appreciation were read aloud from Mary Warner and Theo Kent. Pennies for Friendship was collected for donation at the annual state meeting at Hot Springs.
