Pine Bluff National Bank’s Crown Club treated its members to a barbecue luncheon recently at the Waterfront Facility at Regional Park. Celebrating 24 wonderful years, more than 150 members attended their annual luncheon.
The tables were decorated in a fall theme with colorful pumpkins, fall flowers and scarecrows. The group feasted on barbecue pork, smoked sausage, coleslaw, baked beans and dessert.
A large number of prizes donated by local area businesses were given out to the lucky winners at the luncheon. The Crown Club gave away $100 gift certificates toward any 2013 PBNB Crown Club tour to three Crown Club members. The winners were LaQuita Wisner, H. O. Gray and John Langley. The club also gave away nine free lunch certificates and the winners were Joe Appling, Lynn Thompson, Rose Akenhead, Donna Davis, Ella Owen, Bob Smith, Lula and H.O. Gray, Donna Stewart, Rose, Vincent Smith and Peggy Langley.
The winner of the September birthday prize of a crisp $50 bill was J.D. Burton. Other members celebrating a birthday were each given a special PBNB “Like to Travel? Join the Club” jar opener.
Cindy Whitwell, Crown Club director, shared with the group exciting information on the upcoming tours for 2013, which includes the White Mountains and Cape Cod tour in May, the motorcoach tour to South Dakota in July and a motorcoach tour to San Antonio in December, where the group will enjoy wonderful accommodations on the River Walk. The River Walk is especially beautiful with all the lights and decorations during the Christmas season. Saving the best for last, the club has a fantastic Classica Italia tour in October and sign-up begins at the Preview Party on Jan. 17. To make reservations for the Preview Party, those interested must call the Crown Club.
Whitwell reminded everyone that all tours are on a first-come, first-serve basis and that tours sometimes fill up on the day of the preview parties.
Whitwell was assisted by Pat Bethea, John Whitwell, and PBNB employees.
