The DuBocage Chapter of the American Business Womenís Association recently held its annual Woman of the Year luncheon at the Pine Bluff Country Club.
The past Woman of the Year, Joyce Ann Green, was honored with the luncheon. Diane Wilson organized the luncheon with a treat bag of chocolate and a Santa figurine for each attendee. A game of listing titles of Christmas carols from the first letters of each word was won by Donna Kerr with Donna Renfro and Jane Mayhan tied for a close second.
The Woman of the Year program was designed to annually recognize a member who has made notable and outstanding achievements. Being named Woman of the Year is a great honor ó one thatís highly respected by ABWA members, according to a spokesman.
Chairman of the Woman of the Year Committee, Ruth Morris, read the letter nominating a member for the next Woman of Year, who was elected by acclamation and will be announced at the January meeting of the chapter.
Opal Young from Hot Springs and Carolyn Warner from Russellville were among the ones attending. Door prizes were won by Rana McClain, Judy Kittler and Patsy Stone.
