The Governor Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center at Pine Bluff has named Maurice Jackson as its new education specialist.

The Governor Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center at Pine Bluff has named Maurice Jackson as its new education specialist.

Jackson is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, with a master’s degree in aquaculture/fisheries. He worked for the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries for 12 years, beginning as a hatchery manager. He eventually became the agency’s first aquatic education biologist.

Jackson was reared near Forrest City and graduated from Forrest City High School. Jackson and his wife, Dr. Melissa Jackson, have four children — Kevin, Maurice, Marquise and Shailey. The family lives at North Little Rock.
