The local chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will hear a presentation on identity theft and other scams at its meeting Monday.

The local chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will hear a presentation on identity theft and other scams at its meeting Monday.

The NARFE Pine Bluff Chapter 287 will meet at 11:30 a.m. in rooms A and B at the Donald W. Reynolds Building, West Third Avenue and Pine Street.

Speaking will be Stephen Svetz, an instructor and investigator with the Arkansas Attorney Generalís Office who leads the identity theft passport program. Svetz has worked for the office since 2001 following a career in law enforcement. He now educates police agencies and the public on matters of law, identity theft and current scam trends.
