Lana Henderson Sloan, a former editor and reporter for the Pine Bluff Commercial, has been selected as a Living Legend of North Texas Journalism by the Press Club of Dallas. She was honored for her career as a reporter at the Dallas Times-Herald from 1970 to 1976 and for her subsequent success as a freelance journalist.

A Pine Bluff native, Sloan began her journalism career at the Commercial, where she worked as a copy editor and women’s news editor and reporter from 1967 to 1970.
