The Gould Citywide Neighborhood Watch Association will partner with community leaders, civic organizations, block associations and concerned citizens to sponsor the 2nd Annual Crime Prevention Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Dale Park in Gould.

The Gould Citywide Neighborhood Watch Association will partner with community leaders, civic organizations, block associations and concerned citizens to sponsor the 2nd Annual Crime Prevention Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Dale Park in Gould.

The fun-filled day will promote community safety and awareness in reducing crime by providing experts to speak about effective crime prevention strategies that will assist residents with information and technical assistance in reducing crime in their neighborhoods, a spokesman said.

The day will offer an opportunity for residents to understand how citizens can address the problem of crime and improve our great city, the spokesman said.

The youth will enjoy McGruff the Crime Dog and Smokey the Bear to reinforce the crime prevention message.

There will also be presentations from the Arkansas Attorney Generalís Office, Arkansas Crime Lab, Arkansas Governorís Office, Healing Place Ministries, Arkansas State Police and other organizations that are interested in helping the city of Gould.
