Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department announced plans to temporarily close lanes along Interstate 530 and 430 to conduct bridge maintenance, inspections and other work this week.

One lane of I-530 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Wednesday in the Wrightsville area for bridge maintenance. The project will require the northbound, outside lane to be closed daily, highway officials said.

Also, crews performing geotechnical sampling on I-530 in Pulaski County will require closing the northbound, inside lane in the area between Interstate 30 and Highway 167 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

Meanwhile, workers will perform a routine inspection of the I-430 Bridge over the Arkansas River between Little Rock and North Little Rock, causing lane closures this week, officials said. The bridge inspection will require the northbound, outside lane to be closed Wednesday and Thursday, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

The work will be conducted if weather permits, officials said. Motorists are asked to use caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones, officials said.
