St. John AME Church, 1117 W. Pullen St., is seeking the community’s support in providing relief to tornado victims in Moore, Okla.
According to a press release, the effort is under the leadership of Bishop Samuel Lawrence Green, presiding prelate of the 12th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, where he presides over 200 churches in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
St. John is asking Pine Bluff residents to helping providing bottled water, Gatorade, wipes, diapers, baby formula, hand towels, work gloves, individually wrapped snacks, hand sanitizer, trash bags, rakes, shovels, flashlights and batteries, suntan lotion, lotion, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Donations may be brought to St. John between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through Tuesday. Details: Call the church at 536-3760 or 718-1096.
