Brianna McDonald of Stamps was recently awarded a University Scholarship from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Brianna McDonald of Stamps was recently awarded a University Scholarship from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

The daughter of Latetia and Lennie McDonald, she graduated summa cum laude from Lafayette County High School in Lewisville with a grade point average of 3.83. Her main high school activities included varsity cheerleading, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Farmers of America and the school yearbook. She will major in biology at UAPB with plans to attend medical school and become a pediatrician.

To be eligible for the University Scholarship, a student must have a minimum ACT score of 23 and a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The scholarship pays full tuition and room and board.
