At 11 a.m. Monday, a press conference will be held in the rotunda of the Jefferson County Courthouse regarding the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Programs.

VITA Centers prepare and file electronic income taxes free for low to moderate income families. Monday, officials will also offer information about Super Saturday Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Day, said Rev. Jesse Turner, coordinator of the Weed and Seed Program.

State Rep. Efren Elliott will help launch the Pine Bluff Wealth Building Coalition VITA program. The coalition partners with Simmons First National Bank, Pine Bluff Housing Authority, Southeast Arkansas College, Arkansas Community Organization (ACO) and ICVR Weed and Seed.
