Greater New Traveler’s Rest Baptist Church, 2617 W. Eighth Ave., will hold its 59th church anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. Don Hawkins, pastor of Barnett Chapel Baptist Church.

Oak Grove Baptist Church at Gethsemane will celebrate its 125th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. James Murry, pastor Gospel Temple Baptist Church.

The 30th anniversary honoring the pastor and wife, Rev. and Mrs. Ulysses Dunlap Sr. will be celebrated at Corinth Baptist Church at Sherrill.

At 7 p.m. today, the guests will be the Dixie Aires, Witnezz, Mighty Gospelettes, Humble Praise, and more.

Sunday at 3 p.m., the guest preacher will be the Leroy Spears Jr., pastor of Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Grady will observe its 78th anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The guest preacher will be Rev. L.E. Walker of Rogers Street Church of God in Christ at Reno, Okla.

Sneed Missionary Baptist Church at Yorktown will celebrate its 127th church anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. Nathaniel Thornton Jr., pastor of Bethlehem No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church.

Concerts

The Kinsmen will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Summit Baptist Church, 901 Ridgway Road. The group has performed 25 years.

Revivals

St. Peter Catholic Church, 207 E. 16th Ave., will hold its Advent Revival at 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The guest preacher will be Father Walt Bracken, chaplain at SVD Retreat Center at Bay St. Louis, Miss.

St. Stephen Church of God in Christ, 4805 W. 14th Ave., will hold is revival Sunday through Friday at 7 p.m. The guest evangelist will be Vincent Williams Jr. of Divine Destiny Church of God in Christ.

Special Events

Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church at Wilmar will host “Women in the Midst of Prayer” breakfast and worship at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 3.

The special guests will be members of True Light No. 349 Order of Eastern Star of Selma and the Worthy Matron Mae Thomas.

Other speakers will be ministers Theresa Cooper, Gale Ellis, Patricia Harding, and Cheryl Larkin.
