The Arkansas First Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ will convene June 10-14 at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. The Auxiliaries in Ministry (AIM) Convention is expected to attract more than 500 delegates for training, fellowship and spiritual renewal representing churches located in cities from Blytheville to Pine Bluff.

The Arkansas First Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ will convene June 10-14 at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. The Auxiliaries in Ministry (AIM) Convention is expected to attract more than 500 delegates for training, fellowship and spiritual renewal representing churches located in cities from Blytheville to Pine Bluff.

Under the leadership of Arkansas First Jurisdictional Bishop Jewel R. Withers and Elder Cedric Smith, Jurisdictional AIM Chairman, the mission of AIM is to advance Kingdom work through spiritual enrichment, indepth training, Christian education, family fellowship, evangelism and discipleship.

Jurisdictional Supervisor of the Women’s Ministry is Hazel Deloney. The host superintendent is Joe L. Stocker of Pine Bluff No.1 and Wanda Jones is the District Supervisor of the Women’s Ministry.

Attendees will participate in a forum on the Affordable Care Act and receive information on the operation, benefits, and impact of the Act toward improving the health and wellness outlook for Arkansans, receiving presentations from the Arkansas Minority Health Commission, Arkansas Department of Human Services, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and the Arkansas Department of Insurance. The convention will also be involved in community service projects through continuing support to Neighbor to Neighbor and the Salvation Army and in a first-time effort with Pine Bluff Mayor Debe Hollingsworth in a neighborhood uplift project.

Jurisdictional Leaders of Auxiliaries in Ministry (AIM) include: Leato Walker Jr. and Linda Diggins, both of Little Rock, Sunday School; Oliver Smith of Forrest City and Leatha Richardson of Little Rock, Evangelist; Freddie Lee of West Memphis, Missions; Alvin Coleman, Jr. of Wynne and Dedric Jones of Pine Bluff, Music; Karl Barnes of Benton and Minnie Hill of Pine Bluff, Youth.

Auxiliaries meet daily in empowerment sessions at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Convention Center Banquet Hall and the public is invited to attend. Activities include Scholastic Motivation, Bible Bowl, Spelling Bee Competitions, Math, Drill Teams, along with visiting key recreational and education sites throughout the city of Pine Bluff.
