The Pine Bluff School Board was to have met Tuesday night, but the meeting was canceled shortly after school district officials decided to dismiss classes early. Also canceled was an afternoon meeting of the Pine Bluff City Council’s Administration Committee, which was to have discussed residency requirements for city department heads.
It was the second straight day that a city event had been put on hold. A town hall meeting that was to have been held Monday night was called off because of a threat of ice. The meet has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 11, at the convention center. Persons wishing to speak to Mayor Debe Hollingsworth and participating city council members at the meeting are to visit or telephone the mayor’s office at 543-1855 by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8.
