The Pine Bluff Animal Control Department announces that pets are available for adoption.

Featured this week is Tippy, a 3-year-old female Wirehaired Terrier-Chihuahua mix who is brown and white in color.

“She is very mild mannered and she loves to be held,” according to a department spokesman.

To adopt pets, requirements are:

• $20 Adoption fee paid to Animal Control upon selection of a new pet

• $16 in vaccination and licensing fees

• And $50 to have the pet spayed or neutered with participating veterinarians before taking the animal home, a state requirement. Animal Control will transport the animal to the veterinarian’s office, where it can be picked up post-surgery.
