A large crowd gathers Saturday at the corner of 16th Avenue and Cherry Street to promote a campaign to "Stop the Bloodshed." Apostle Patrick Lockett of New Community Church said the idea for "Stop the Bloodshed" came from one of the children at the church. Lockett said the child asked, "Once all the adults are murdered, who is going to raise us?" On Saturday, the group handed out flyers, hot dogs, chips and drinks. Numerous people stopped by to show their support and talk to members of the group about the problems in Pine Bluff. Lockett said the group wants to let residents of Pine Bluff know that "the bloodshed has got to stop." (Special to The Commercial/Bo Rogers)
