Jamie Robbins, Miss University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and UAPB athletes participated in Pine Bluff Lighthouse Charter School’s first annual Fun Day on April 20. The event was organized by the school’s booster club to recognize students (called scholars) for their hard work after a week of state testing.

The line up of events included an obstacle course, line dancing, a movie, dodge ball, video games, board games, and face painting. Fourth grader, Letrin Frederick said his favorite part was the face painting.

“Overall, the day was a success,” Reshonda Walker, the school’s booster club president, said about the event. “All of our scholars had fun and we are just glad we could reward the scholars who worked so hard during testing.”

The school was honored to have the student leaders from UAPB as a part of the special day, Walker said.

Reflecting on the day, fourth grader Ka’miah Thorton exclaimed, “It was the most fun I’ve ever had.”
