The St. Joseph’s High School Student Council visited the Pine Bluff Police and Fire departments to deliver homemade cookies and treats.

They wanted to show their appreciation for the service these departments give to our city.

The Student Council is sponsored by Mrs. Judy Erstine and includes students from grades seven through 11. The organization is active in the community and in their school.

Over the last 11 years the Student Council has supported Red Cross, breast cancer awareness and Birthright, sponsored a refugee family from Hurricane Katrina for a semester and a family from St. Joseph’s Church for a year. They raised and donated money for people going through rehab during Drug Awareness Week, have put together a Christmas Program for Trinity Village Nursing Home every year and donated thousands of dollars to the SJCHS Scholarship Fund.
