The Watson Chapel Fire Department is offering free smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors to residents who live in the Watson Chapel Fire District.

The fire department will also install the detectors if needed. All homes should have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and any detector that is more than 10 years old should be replaced. This program is designed to assist persons or families that are unable to afford the detectors or who are unable to obtain or install them on their own.

Anyone who is in need of a smoke or carbon monoxide detector or knows someone who needs one can call Steven Tidwell with the Watson Chapel Fire Department at 879-6961.
