A 4-year-old boy suffered non-life threatening injuries after running into the side of a car Friday evening on South Wisconsin Street.

The incident occurred when the child was walking with his 14-year-old brother at about 6 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of South Wisconsin Street, Pine Bluff Police Department Capt. Greg Shapiro said in a press release.

The 4-year-old suddenly ran into the street and hit the side of a northbound Dodge Charger driven by Robert Wilkerson, who was not cited as causing the accident, Shaprio said.

The boy was conscious and alert when PBPD officers arrived on scene, Shapiro said, and was transported by ambulance to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
