A reported domestic disturbance between a man and his wife Saturday resulted in the arrest of the man on felony charges.

Deron Henderson, 34, allegedly grabbed his wife by the throat during the argument, leading red marks on her neck, Detective Jeremy Funderburg reported in a probable cause affidavit presented in court Monday.

Deputy Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said Henderson’s wife was also arrested on misdemeanor domestic battery charges, but because Henderson had a prior conviction for domestic battery in Oklahoma, he was being charged with a felony.

In addition, Kizer said Henderson had “multiple failures to appear dating back a decade.”

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Henderson, ordered him to have no contact with the alleged victim, and to come back to court Aug. 20.
