Pine Bluff police are asking for help in identifying a man who broke into the Goodwill store on East Harding Avenue March 18 after throwing a brick through the front door glass.

“We feel like someone will remember and know exactly who was wearing this particular black #9 jersey on the Sunday evening of the burglary,” Capt. Greg Shapiro said.

Police responded to an alarm at the store at 11:52 p.m. and found the front door glass broken. A check of the building failed to locate any suspects and a store manager reported nothing appeared to be missing.

Surveillance video from inside the business showed that after the black male entered the building, he ran to the cash register, picked it up, and tried to run out the door with it. Because the register was still plugged in, the register jerked out of the man’s hands and a piece of it broke off. The man then left the store.

Anyone with information should contact the police Detective Division at 730-2090 and all calls will be kept confidential.
