Police are still investigating a shooting incident Thursday afternoon in the Dollarway area.

No one was injured, but police have recovered a weapon that had been previously reported stolen, Pine Bluff Police spokesman Lt. Joann Bates said.

Officers were dispatched to Western Drive after reports that shots were being fired from a gray passenger vehicle. Once on the scene, officers spoke with witnesses who reported that two suspects were seen chasing a man behind some houses and were trying to shoot him, Bates said.

Witnesses also told the officers that the suspects ran into a residence on Shirley Street. Officers obtained consent to search the residence, where they reportedly found a weapon that had previously been reported stolen, Bates said.

The incident is still under investigation, and more information will be provided when it becomes available.
