A reported disturbance on the west side of Pine Bluff Thursday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a man who reportedly pointed a gun at another person.

Andre Eason, 22, also allegedly threatened to kill the person, Deputy Prosecutor Rik Ramsey said during a court hearing for Eason on Friday.

Detective Marsha Oliver reported that police were sent to the 1500 block of Juniper Street at about 1 p.m. where the victim said Eason had “come up and made accusations,” then pulled a gun and made threats.

Ramsey said Eason left before police arrived and he was found in the area a short time later.

Circuit Judge Jodi Raines Dennis set a $5,000 bond for Eason after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault.

Dennis also told Eason to have no contact with the alleged victim, and to come back to court June 15.

Eason said he would hire his own attorney.
