Police investigating a reported stolen car found the vehicle Thursday and arrested a man who admitted that he had been driving it.

Leon Brazell, 45, claimed that a man he knew only as “Endo” had left the car at his residence a few days earlier, and police reported that Brazell gave officers the keys when they asked for them.

Detective James Williams reported that the car, a 1996 Nissan, had been reported stolen June 16, and officers found it at Brazell’s residence in the 1100 block of West 11th Avenue after getting a tip as to its location.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Brazell, who had no prior convictions or pending charges, after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with theft by receiving.

Brazell was told to come back to court Aug. 24.
