LITTLE ROCK – Lt. Gov. Mark Darr on Wednesday appointed Jonesboro lawyer Thomas Fowler to the state board that disciplines judges.

LITTLE ROCK – Lt. Gov. Mark Darr on Wednesday appointed Jonesboro lawyer Thomas Fowler to the state board that disciplines judges.

Fowler’s six-year term on the state Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission begins July 1.

The panel receives and investigates complaints involving possible misconduct or disability of judges in the state.

Fowler is a graduate of Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas law school. He was appointed deputy prosecutor for Craighead County in 2001, before which he was in private practice. He returned to private practice in 2008, specializing in bankruptcy and family law.

Fowler is dean of operations for the American Legion Boys State Program and his been active with Boys State since 1986. He was inducted into the Boys State Hall of Fame in 2007.

He is married to the former Leslie Hickman Fowler.
