No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting death of a Pine Bluff man Thursday morning and police are continuing their investigation.

Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley identified the victim as Christopher Patillo, 28.

Patillo was pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Kim Phillips at 8:09 a.m. Thursday. His body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office at Little Rock for an autopsy.

Pine Bluff police Capt. Greg Shapiro said police, ambulance and fire department personnel were sent to the area of 24th Avenue and Plum Street at 7:26 a.m. and found Patillo’s body inside a 2004 Dodge Magnum.

All tips will be kept confidential and a reward is available for information that leads to an arrest.

The slaying was the second of the year in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County. The first homicide victim was Tommy Holcomb Sr., 60, who died Jan. 11 following a shooting on the parking lot at the Speedway gas station, 3700 Camden Road.

Funeral services for Patillo will be announced by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
