A Pine Bluff woman who was on the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department Most Wanted list in December was taken into custody by deputies Friday afternoon.

Capt. Bernard Adams said Veronica Lachelle Davis, 23, was arrested after deputies found her hiding inside a bathroom at 1217 W. 18th Ave.

“We got a couple of calls that she was there so we sent a couple of deputies and I went, and she saw us when we got there so she ran into the house,” Adams said.

Davis was being sought on warrants charging her with failure to appear in court for plea and arraignment on two allegations of kidnapping and two allegations of second-degree battery.

She was taken to the adult detention center and will be held pending an expected court appearance Monday.
