No injuries were reported as the result of a two-vehicle traffic accident involving a police car on Dollarway Road Wednesday afternoon.

No injuries were reported as the result of a two-vehicle traffic accident involving a police car on Dollarway Road Wednesday afternoon.

According to the accident report which was completed Thursday, a 2002 Buick van driven by Chara J. Gooseberry, 25, of Pine Bluff, was struck from behind by a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria police vehicle driven by Danny M. Rucker, 43, also of Pine Bluff.

The report said Gooseberry was southbound on Dollarway Road and when she stopped at the red light at the intersection of Dollarway Road and Phyllis Street, her vehicle was hit.

Rucker reported he was also southbound behind the other vehicle and looked in another direction as the light changed to yellow and the vehicle in front of him stopped quickly.

The driver’s front side of the police car hit the passenger side rear bumper of the van, causing an estimated $1,500 damage. Damage to the police car was estimated at $2,000.

A passenger in Gooseberry’s vehicle, Ebonee F. Cannon, 24, also of Pine Bluff was not injured, the report said.
